I personally suggest using the halftime plugin as it gives you the best ability to customize your halftime so it sounds pleasant. Just go to momentary on gross beat and use half speed. You can also use gross beat to halftime the loop. If you have to, this way can potentially eat the job done. I would keep it on resample because on stretch it may not sound pleasant. You can turn off stretch or keep it on resample. The other way is to simply stretch the loop twice as long. If you don’t have the money, this is another way. The easiest way to avoid all this is to get samples and loops that you can easily look up or already have the key & bpm labeled on it.
